Hootsuite Your Onramp for Social Media Efficiency
Hootsuite is a great way to manage your social media accounts. Tweetdeck used to be my social management tool of choice, but I found Hootsuite to have more features and more benefits. Consider how Hootsuite can help you better manage your social media:
1. Add twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn accounts. You can even add multiple accounts if you are like me and manage an account for yourself and one for your business on multiple platforms. I have two twitter accounts personally, two Facebook accounts and a LinkedIn account. I also manage many of these for other businesses. I can put them all in one place allowing me to see their feeds and conversations. (Note, after you add so many accounts, Hootsuite does want you to pay a small fee of $5.99 to them every month, but I don’t mind for the efficiency it provides.)
2. Schedule content ahead of time that you know you want to say. There are certain things that you can plan to talk about for your brand and that content can be scheduled ahead of time so you always have content consistently being posted. Say you are a beauty salon, you can put a hairstyle of the week showing a photo of the latest cuts. These photos can all be scheduled. Or, as an accounting firm, you could post an update every couple days about accounting laws, regulations, tips, office helps, etc.
3. Work smartly. Do the work once, but have it go out to many accounts. Hootsuite allows you to post the content in one box, while posting to many accounts. It also keeps you from having to log into those accounts over and over, saving your lots of time in the long run.
